This web site gives us the opportunity to spend more time talking about the world’s most wonderful pets, Chihuahuas! We have three in the family…

Molly, Bella (pronounced Baya) and Coco

As a family, we have raised, rescued and adopted more than 25 dogs of many varieties, having as many as eight at one time. We have been actively involved in animal rescue and animal shelter service since the mid 80’s. Vicki served on the board of our local Humane Society and even received the “Humanitarian of the Year” award. She also served as a veterinary surgical assistant.

Somewhere along our journey, we were all smitten by that strange malady, Chihuahua Fever. We don’t know how it happened or exactly when it happened, but happen it did.

We’ve slowed way down on a lot of the volunteer duties lately and are now happy and contented to focus on taking care of our Chihuahuas and a few cats.

Incidentally, a close friend of mine, Tim, a former Marine, Police Lieutenant and SWAT team leader has owned many dogs including a couple of highly trained K9 Police Dogs. He now owns his very own Chihuahua and says that it is by far the best dog that he has ever had and that he will never have another!
